Vincent was born in Kansas City, Kansas, to the proud parents of Marion and Vincent Orme Sr. He was the second oldest of 12 siblings and was known by many names, including Jr., Dipp, Pops, Daddy, Granddad, and G-Pa.
He was a proud father of four children: Vicki, Tina, Vincent III, and Cansada Orme. He was also the grandfather of nine grandchildren: Yezeel, Alyssa, Alexzander, Denzel, Juwan (children of son Vincent III), Trey, and Richard (children of daughter Vicki Orme), and Vincent (child of daughter Cansada Orme). Peter Kennedy is the grandson of his second wife, Olga Orme.
Vincent was a great-grandfather to three: Bryson (son of granddaughter Alyssa), Scarlett (daughter of grandson Alexzander), and Elijah (son of grandson Yezeel).
He is survived by eight siblings: Maurice, Waymon, Reginald, Richard, Elaine, Edith, and Martha, as well as Catherine. He is also reunited with three siblings who have passed away: Evelyn, Kenneth, and Ronald.
Vincent was a proud member of the 82nd Airborne Division, an elite airborne infantry division within the United States Army, and served in the Special Forces (Green Berets). He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3107, a Master Mason, and an Elk. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University.
Vincent was very proud of his family and the history from which he came. He loved to share stories of his life experiences. We laid him to rest where his heart is.
A rosary will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Bell Mortuary A reception will follow at VFW Post 3107 at 7 p.m.
Graveside rites with full military honors and Masonic Rites will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Highland Cemetery.
