Sharon A. “Kelly” Archambeault

March 16, 1943 — January 14, 2016

On March 16, 1943, Sharon A. “Kelly” Archambeault was born to her parents, Marlene Neise and Alton Neise. Marlene worked at the Hall Drug and Alton was a construction worker and area musician. He passed away in the early 40’s from complications during surgery. Kelly was raised by Marlene and her stepfather, Leroy Kellogg, from whom she inherited the nickname. Kelly passed away on January 14, 2016, at the age of 72, from cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

Kelly was born and raised in Glasgow. She graduated with honors from Glasgow High School and with honors from the University of Montana, after spending one year at Montana State University. She earned her CPA in 1966 and worked in Seattle, Washington for Haskins & Sells, a national accounting firm, in parts of 1965 and 1966.

Kelly married Gerald T. “Buck” Archambeault on September 3, 1966, and they were blessed with two children, Michael of Glasgow and Nicole of Billings, and one grandchild, Reagan Severson, 10 years old. She is survived by her husband, son, daughter and grandchild as well as cousins, Dr. Ben Wood, Dr. John Wood, Dr. Arthur Wood and Dr. David Wood, all living east of the Mississippi River, and Marla Jan Dedobbeleer of Glasgow.

Kelly was a lifetime member of the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow. She actively participated in choir and Praise Team during her many years of church attendance. She was employed at Sinclair Produce and the City of Glasgow for many years as a bookkeeper.

During her lifetime, Kelly was on the board of directors of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Montana, having served for over 20 years. She was also a board member and board president of Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital and a board member of the Glasgow School Board. Buck presently practices law at Helland Law Firm in Glasgow, specializing in estate planning and real estate.

Kelly could be seen most mornings, for 25 years or more, walking up airport road and downtown with her good friend, Deloris Brown. They formed a life-long friendship that both always cherished. Kelly particularly enjoyed the trips to the Hawaiian Islands with friends and business associates, boating at Whitefish Lake and Fort Peck Lake and “doing the loop” with her family.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, Valley View Nursing Home and her many friends for their reflections, thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 7th floor, New York, NY 10001. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow, MT. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will take place at a later date.
