Roy Debray

November 18, 1919 — February 10, 2018

Roy Richard DeBray, 98, passed away February 10, 2018 at Valley View Nursing Home.

He was born November 18, 1919 to William and Rose (Kline) DeBray, into a family of 12 children.  He spent his younger years in Glasgow, then attended high school in Chemowa Indian School in Salem, Oregon.

In 1944, he married Lois Myrtle Eastman. Both were working in the Shipyards during WWII.  A daughter, Victoria, was born to the couple with an expanded family Lois’s children Elizabeth, Bill, Henry, and John Hanley.

Roy was a lifetime boiler maker union member and he loved fishing, which he claimed was his only “vice”.  He was always ready to help his fellow man whether at work or his neighborhood.

Roy is survived by his sister, Ann Eastman of Deer Trail, Colorado; step-children Elizabeth Hughes of Portland, Oregon.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents; wife Lois; step-sons Bill and  Henry Hanley; his brothers Leo, John, Martin and Gilbert; sisters Leona Riske and Mary Sharp and grandson John William Hanley.

At his request there will be no services, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be buried in the family resting place in Glasgow, Montana.  Bell Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
