Obituary

Robert Lee Anderson, 90, passed away on July 5, 2026, at home with his family in Thompson Falls, Montana.

Robert was born on November 16, 1935, to Sherman Anderson and Pearl Bailey in Paris, Arkansas. In 1951, the family moved to Oxford, California where Robert attended school and later graduated from Oxford High School. He later attended Southern Illinois University, College of Technology and while in the Military, he attended USAF Technical School.

In 1952, he joined the United States Marine Corp for a short time and then joined the United States Air Force in 1954. He served in France, Philippines, Okinawa, Guam, Thailand, Glasgow Air Force Base, and numerous other bases throughout the US. He also served in Vietnam.

In 1953, Robert married his first wife June Hopson. They had three children together. In 1974, He married Tiburscia Gomez. They remained together until her passing in October of 2019.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Pearl, and his son Rick Anderson, and daughters Lola Dunham and Rosemary Vallejo.

Robert is survived by his sisters; Jean Thompson, JoAnn Plymale, and Linda Ellis; His children; Terry Brookshire, Tina Peabody; and his stepchildren; Linda Tihlarik, Richy Vallejo, Henry Vallejo, Albert Vallejo, Sam Vallejo, Trish Smith, Christine Smouse, and David Vallejo; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 25 step-grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
