Patrick Burshia passed away on December 11, 2018 in Wolf Point, Montana surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on October 16, 1984 in Poplar, Montana. He was raised by his grandparents the late Adrian and Odessa Fourstar, whom he loved and missed dearly. He attended school in Poplar, Montana. Patrick loved being outdoors, spending time with his grandparents and attending traditional ceremonies with them. He spent his adult life spending time with his children, family and friends.
Patrick had an outgoing personality and a contagious smile and laugh. He could be stubborn but was an honest and loyal person. His heart was big and full of love, he will be missed by all those who loved him.
He is survived by his sons Kenrick and Maddox Martell and Trent Follette all of Poplar, Montana; sisters Alexandria (Beau) Granbois, Samantha Fourstar and Hailey Fourstar of Wolf Point, Montana; brothers Taz Fourstar and Charles Fourstar of Portland, Oregon, Jonas Burshia of Poplar, Montana and Robert Burshia of Hardin, Montana; aunts Claudia (Richard) Brien, Janet (Jerrid) Mudgett, Lucinda Standing Bear, Lucy White Eyes, all of Poplar, Montana, Madonna (Don) LaRock, Josephine Tapaha, Carmen Cantrell of Wolf Point, Montana, Geraldine (Warren) Buck Elk of Rapid City, South Dakota and Annie Cantrell, Maureen (Brad) Gray Hawk, Marie Drazt, Mavis Drazt all of Poplar, Montana and Debra Shields of Wolf Point; uncles Maurice Drazt of Poplar Montana, Newton Cantrell of Colorado, Mervin Shields and Arlie Shields of Billings, Montana and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding Patrick in death are his parents Beverly Running Bear and Adrian Fourstar Jr.; his grandparents Odessa and Adrian Fourstar; aunts, whom he called “mom” Dolly and Antoinette Fourstar; sister Chelsea Fourstar; brother Adrian Fourstar III and uncles Michael Fourstar and James Fourstar.

A wake will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar, Montana. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., December 15, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar, Montana with Father Jude Ahli officiating. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Poplar, Montana.
