Obituary for Patricia Darlene Bauer Arthur

Patricia “Pat” Darlene Bauer Arthur passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2026 at the age of 86. Pat was born on April 3rd, 1939 to Joseph Bauer and Leah Funk on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Poplar, Montana. She was the second oldest of ten children born to Joseph and Leah. Pat spent most of her young life in Oswego, Montana, and she spent her time riding horses, canning, gardening, sewing and crocheting. Pat married Elliott Todd on January 17th, 1955, and from this union Pat gave birth to five children: Teri, Jeff, Ken, Wade, and Tim Todd. During this time of her life, Elliott and Pat lived in Washington and California. She spent her time raising her children and being a homemaker. After her relationship with Elliott ended, Pat met James Becker. From this marriage Pat had a daughter, Tonya, and she worked with James primarily in New Mexico where she owned and operated multiple restaurants and businesses. In 1982 Pat met the love of her life, Ronald Klotz, in Los Lunas, New Mexico. They were married in PJ’s restaurant, a business that Pat owned, and they continued to live there for a few years. Through 1984 to 1986, Ron and Pat moved frequently because of Ron’s construction occupation. In 1986, they moved to Montana to work with their son, Ken Todd, at K T Construction. In 1990, Pat relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she spent three years before finally returning to Wolf Point to make it her lifelong home. Ron and Pat were married for 27 years. After Ron’s passing in 2010, Pat met and married George Arthur in 2013, and the couple made a home in Nashua, Montana.

Pat was an entrepreneur and self-starter. She owned many businesses in her life including PJ’s Restaurant, Pat’s Unique Boutique, Salt City Candle Company, and she was a Mary Kay representative for a few years. Pat managed and played a pivotal role in the construction company, PDK Construction, and at the end of her life continued to be a successful business owner, managing and operating her business Arthur’s Mini-Storage, with her husband George Arthur.

Pat’s priority in her life was always her children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers and relatives. She loved to laugh and tell stories. She always kept true to her identity, and she planned the Jacob Bauer and Walks with the Wind reunion that she hosted at her home in Nashua in 2018. Pat was vivacious and had a love of life. She loved camping, fishing, gold panning, and having large dinners with her family. In her free time, she loved to crochet, eat popcorn, drink Dr. Pepper and watch her westerns. Pat made crocheted blankets for all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Pat was full of life, love and laughter. She was a strong, independent, beautiful woman with an amazing work ethic and fierce protection of her family. She never had any problem speaking her mind, and she loved to brag about her family members successes. She attended every graduation, game and birthday party or life event that she could, and her love and support was felt by anyone that spent time with her.

Pat is survived by her husband, George Arthur (Nashua), daughter Teri (Keith) Meche, son Timothy Todd, daughter Tonya Thomas, sister Judy Fourstar, sister Kay Bauer, and brother Jospeh Bauer. Pat is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Bauer and Leah Funk, sons Ken Todd Sr., Wade Todd, Jeff Todd, her husband Ron Klotz, her siblings Barbara, Joyce, Deb, Ed, Sam, and her great-great granddaughter, Everly Iwen.

Pat had many grandchildren that she loved dearly. She is survived by Travis Long, Patty (Norman) Sibley, Kelsey Long, Kara (Steven) Potts, Ken Todd, Kendra (Chad) Todd, Joshua Todd, Justin Todd, Jake Todd, Eli Todd, Jacqueline Todd, David Todd, Rochelle Todd, and Quanah Todd, Chastitee (Caleb) Isom, Michael Reynolds, Jeffrey Thomas, and Cobin Thomas. She was so proud of her great-grandchildren and most recently great-great grandchildren too many too mention. She was loved by so many and her memory will live on forever.
