Marvin Eugene Pankratz, age 76, of Glasgow, Montana entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 13, 2026 at 8:36 p.m. with his family by his side.

Marvin was born on April 7, 1950, the oldest of six boy in Wolf Point, Montana to Walter and Elizabeth (Teichroew) Pankratz. He received his early education at Lustre Grade School, graduating from Lustre Bible Academy in 1968. He attended Big Sky Bible, Eastern Montana College and graduated from Northern Montana College earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering.

While serving on the Board of Directors for the Pines Youth Camp, Marvin met Colleen Held and they were married on October 8, 1994 in Glasgow. They made their home in Opheim and later in Glasgow. Together they made the decision to take in children through the foster care program.

Farming and ranching most of his life, he spent 10 years as a conductor for the BNSF railroad. He loved his horses and mules, airplanes and flying. He talked about being part of the Montana Centennial Cattle Drive. He never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting over a cup of coffee. He was so proud of his son, Evan, and was teaching him to take over the farming.

Marvin was a member of the Bethel Lustre Mennonite Church. Baptized on June 13, 1965, Marvin’s love for Jesus was strong, never wavering.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Colleen of Glasgow; son Evan of Glasgow; and brothers: Larry (Colleen), James (Grace), David (Donna), Donald, and Kenneth (Lori) and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents Walter and Elizabeth.

Family will receive friends Monday, June 22, 2026 at Bell Mortuary from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Glasgow Evangelical Church with Pastor Seth Runner officiating.
