Mark Alan Dale, 62, of Glasgow passed on early Sunday morning April 6, 2025 at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Montana.
Mark was born January 21, 1963 in Glasgow to Wayne L. and MaryAnn (Stahl) Dale. Joining his three older brothers at home, Mark’s early years were spent on Cherry Creek assuming most of the Cherry Creek was his back yard to play in. There were many children close to Mark’s age, to mention a few there were the Fewers, Wiens, Johnsons, Knights and a few more that had horses and used the entire area including the Ridge Runners Arena as the community playground.
Mark attended Glasgow Schools through graduation, while in high school he participated in wrestling and football, with one of those years when the Glasgow Football Team brought home a state football title. After graduation Mark worked for a few area ranches and then started his plumbing apprenticeship and finishing with his plumber’s journeyman license. During this same time Mark had joined the crew with the Valley County Long Run Volunteer Fire Department, which he participated in for a number of years.
In later years he worked for the Pixly Driving Service, transporting many railroaders to where they needed to be. He was currently working for the Valley County Weed Control District under Levi Capdeville at the time of his passing.
Mark’s off time was spent with friends and making new friends on a regular basis, he did not feel that anyone was a stranger. He loved his community and surrounding area to the fullest of his being. He valued all people and held them in high regards.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Wayne L. Dale; great-nephew, Lane Anthony Boos and great-great nephew, Kobe Espejo Curtiss.
Mark is survived by his mother, MaryAnn (Stahl) Dale, brothers: Stephen (Wanda) Dale, Tom Dale and Mike (Nancy) Dale; nieces: Nikki (Pete) Servel, Stephanie (Doug), Janna (Adam) Pummill and Melissa Dale; nephews: Brady (Jennifer) Dale and Nathan Dale; a number of great nephews and nieces as well as a few great-great nephews and nieces. Mark was blessed with a great many cousins (too numerous to mention) that were more like his brothers and sisters, he loved each and every one of them and many aunts and uncles.
There are plans for a private family graveside service 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025 with Max Knodel officiating and a Celebration of Mark’s Life will be at the Glasgow Elks Lodge Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 1 – 4:00 p.m. Mark’s wish would be memorial to be made to the Valley County Long Run Volunteer Fire Department, in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be left online at bellmortuarymt.com.
