Ladeana M. Blatter, age 87, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away at Park Place Nursing Home in Great Falls on August 8, 2025.
Ladeana was born on January 27, 1938 in Havre, Montana, to Cleo and Beryl Blatter. She went to school in Malta until failing eyesight required her to be moved to a school in Boulder, Colorado. After graduating, she lived with her brother Coyne and started working at Easter Seals- where she folded clothes, colored and painted.
On Saturdays, she would take the bus downtown, where she would enjoy shopping and bowling. After a fire destroyed the bowling alley, she found a new alley on the west side of town and continued to enjoy the game. She moved into “The Ivy” in 2007. Ladeana never married or had children of her own. She filled her spare time watching her favorite TV shows (Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie) and listening to country music. She also enjoyed doing arts & crafts, Bingo, attending Bible study and playing WII bowling. After “The Ivy” closed, she moved into Park Place, where she enjoyed playing bingo and weekly visits from her nephew Pat.
Her favorite animals were puppies, squirrels and teddy bears. Anything with John Wayne or Mickey Mouse had her attention. One of her fondest memories was waking up as a child and discovering that her dog was having puppies.
Ladeana is survived by two of her siblings, Coyne and Sharron; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Beryl; and siblings, Butch, Lynn, Lee, Darrell and Marleen.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 p.m. a.m., on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Highland Cemetery in Glasgow. Condolences for the family maybe left at bellmortuarymt.com.
