Kevin
Hentges
Oct 20, 1959 — Sep 28, 2026
Frazer, Montana
Kevin Earl Hentges, 66, of Frazer, Montana passed away at his home after a brief illness. Kevin was born to Ed and Barbara (Wilkinson) Hentges on October 20, 1959. He was born the fifth of nine children, all of whom carried the initial’s KEH.
Kevin attended school in Frazer, Montana and graduated from Nashua High School in 1978. He made a lot of lifelong friends in his younger years who were a big part of his life. He then enlisted in to the US Army where he was awarded a letter of commendation for the highest score on Soldier’s Stakes in his platoon, accomplished only by the elite. His letter was signed by Lieutenant Colonel Ronald McQuaid. His father Ed passed away in 1980 and Kevin was let out on a hardship request to come home to continue the farm/ranch operation for his mother and younger siblings. Kevin continued the operation for several years also running his own crop dusting business, Hentges Spraying. He took pride in buying his plane, his Super Cub, to learn how to fly from one of the best, Norman Sibley. He and his best friend Doug Long spent many hours together, learning everything there was to know about planes and flying. He then used his plane to spray for many local farmers. Kevin was also a meticulous mechanic who kept many machines in operation at home and for the Ft. Peck Tribal Ranch. He lived his later years as a self-employed rancher.
Kevin married Nadine Adams in 1983. Together they had Kayla and Kelley who joined older sister Kaci. They later divorced but remained friends. Later, Kevin met Octavia Ackerman and their children Zayden and Kassidy were born. He treasured his children (his cows were a close second) and loved the fact that he had children later on in life, “to keep me company”
Kevin was a hard-working man, rarely taking time off to relax. He instilled his work ethics in his children, at young ages, teaching them everything he knew. He had high standards in how a job was done making him a perfectionist. He’d definitely let you know if you dared to try different. A trait only outmatched by his sense of humor, they say. He kept everyone in line but left us all smiling as well. We will miss our dinners, visits, and laughs with a truly good person. Those he knew were treated well and always greeted with a humorous unapologetic punchline. A generous man, he would do anything for his family, friends, and also the Frazer Community.
Kevin is survived by his siblings: Kip Edward, Karen Elaine, Kae Ellen, Ken Evan, Kyle Eugene, Klint Erwin (Anna), Kristi Eileen (Randy) and Kory Everett (Kerry). His children: (the KRH) Kaci, Kayla, Kelley, Zander, Zayden and Kassidy. Grandchildren: Tade, Keein, Kashlyn, Keyal, Kree, Kori Rae, Krue and great-grand-daughter, Yara. His Uncle Jerry Hentges of Frazer, Aunts: Cecilia Mann of Bozeman, Irene Rathert all of Wolf Point, Francis Starkay of Colorado. Nephews: Kristopher, Guy, Eddy, Kevan, Kenny, Jake, Nate, Travis and Alex, His nieces: Wendy, Nikki, Billy, Ashtyn, Samantha, Sierra, Ashley, Jordan, Ember, Krista, and Paige.
