Joseph “Joe” Alex Foster, age 68 of Lewistown, passed away January 7, 2017 at Roundup Memorial Hospital.
Joe was born to Russell and Loretta “Belle” Foster March 5, 1948 in Glasgow, MT. He was the oldest of four children. Joe lived most of his life in Glasgow, moving away for short periods of time but always returning home.
He had served in the US Navy from August 23, 1967 to October 30, 1970. It was after his discharge from the Navy that Joe met Kathleen “Kathy” Lubbes. They married on September 15, 1974. Joe and Kathy had three children and loved and enjoyed 42 years of marriage.
Joe was always full of life and loved spending time with his family, especially spoiling his six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was always telling stories of his younger days and also loved his late model vehicles.
Joe was proceeded in death by his parents, Russell Foster and Loretta “Belle” Foster, and his daughter, Dawn Lynn Foster.
Joe is survived by his loving wife-Kathy Foster; his children, Sean (Jessica Koterba) Foster, Danielle (John) DeVore and Carnell Foster; his brothers, Russell “Junior” (Judy) Foster and Roland Foster; a sister Melody Foster; 6 grandchildren, Jessidiah, Brookelynn, Mary, William, Lisa, and Lyndsy; 1 great granddaughter Eris and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joe’s funeral will be held on January 23, 2017. Time and place will be posted on the Bell Mortuary website when plans are set. All cards, flowers, or donations can be sent to Bell Mortuary.
