JoAnn Helen Pliley, of Glasgow, Montana, passed away at Valley View Nursing Home on June 27, 2023.
JoAnn was 88 years old, born on April 9, 1935, in Fosston, Minnesota to Alice and James Campbell.
She moved to Long Beach, California, and then to Glasgow, Montana in 1946. JoAnn graduated from Glasgow High School where she met Donald Pliley. They fell in love and married on December 26, 1951.
Don and JoAnn resided in the Glasgow area where they farmed and raised two children. JoAnn enjoyed her role as a homemaker, cooking, baking, and sewing many wonderful items for her children and grandchildren from cute outfits to table runners and placemats to quillows.
JoAnn had many friends in the Glasgow area and loved going for coffee with Don to visit with them all.
She was an active member of the Glasgow Evangelical Church for many years.
JoAnn enjoyed being the other half to Don and wherever they went, Don always referred to her as the love of his life.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Donald Gene Pliley, her parents James Raymond Campbell and Alice Henrietta Jellum Campbell and her sisters Mary Alice Hickok and Nancy Fox.
JoAnn is survived by her two children, James E. (Patricia) Pliley, Glasgow/Florida and Pamela D. (James) Burch, of Kasson, Minnesota. JoAnn has nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Family receiving friends will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at Bell Mortuary in Glasgow, Montana. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Glasgow Evangelical Church with Pastor Seth Runner officiating, burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. There will be a luncheon at the Glasgow Evangelical Church following the burial.
