Elouise W. Geiser, age 82, passed away at her home in Stanley, ND on May 17, 2025.

Elouise was born on April 28, 1943, in Ft. Belknap, Montana, to Elizabeth Chandler (Doney) and David Hawley. She carried with her the strength and heart of her roots throughout her life.

Elouise was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. She first welcomed a son, Adrian "Les" Chandler. She later married Theodore "Butch" Grandchamp Sr, with whom she had another son, Theodore "Ted" Grandchamp. Though their paths eventually parted, she later found lasting partnership with Larry Geiser. They were married in 1975 and together built a loving home. In 1982, Elouise and Larry adopted their daughter, Robyn, filling their home with even more love.

She dedicated 31 years of service to the FSA offices and retired in 1996. Elouise was well known for her incredible talent in making star quilts—all hand-stitched, each one absolutely stunning and gorgeous. Her cooking and baking were equally memorable, always made with love and sure to bring everyone to the table.
