Glasgow

Charles Jay Maag passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 66. He was born on May 18, 1958, as the youngest son of Garth and Donna (Monson) Maag.

Charlie was baptized at the First Methodist Church in 1962 and graduated with the Glasgow High School Class of 1977. He had a passion for wrestling and participated in club wrestling during his youth.

Over the years, Charlie worked in the oil fields and later pursued opportunities in construction. In the mid-1980s, he moved to the Seattle area, where he worked on a tender crab boat in Alaska for a couple of seasons. He then transitioned into commercial construction, specializing in renovating shopping malls. Upon returning to Glasgow, he continued with various construction jobs before spending his later years delivering the Billings Gazette in the early mornings. Charlie enjoyed woodworking and took pride in crafting beautiful wishing wells, a reflection of his creative spirit and attention to detail.

He is survived by his siblings: Danny, Dennis, Carol and Connie; seven nieces/nephews, ten great-niece/nephews, and a great-great-niece. He also leaves behind several cousins and an uncle.

Charlie will be remembered for his friendly and kindhearted nature. He was a friend to all and will be dearly missed.

He will be laid to rest in the Maag Family Cemetery and no service is planned at this time.
