Brandi Jean Lapke

Brandi Jean Lapke, 50, passed away on May 20, 2025, in Glasgow, Montana.

Brandi was born in Scobey, Montana on April 25, 1975, she was the second child born to Steve and Mary Ann (Bruhn) Shipstead. Always a small and petite girl, Brandi had a large sense of Humor and lots of love to give.

In January of 2003, she married Duane Lapke. Cody James was her firstborn, followed by Alexandria Lillian and Angeline Sky. More than anything, Brandi thoroughly enjoyed motherhood and being a surrogate mom to many of her kid’s friends. She later divorced Duane, but they always had family functions together.

The biggest thrill of Brandi’s life was her twin grandsons, Carson and Caden. Brandi was a hard worker and loved to work, some of her jobs included seismography, hotel maid, dishwasher, CNA and housekeeper but her most recent and favorite job was a clerk at Albertson’s in Glasgow, Montana. She absolutely enjoyed the socialization and made many friends there.

Brandi is survived by her children: Cody, Alex and Angel Lapke; her grandsons, Carson and Caden Lapke; her sisters, Jennifer Shipstead and Beth Stahl (Corey); brother, AJ Shipstead (Steph); her cat Jersey and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and her favorite cousin JoJo Buer.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gilbert and May Bruhn; paternal grandparents, Jim and Barbee Shipstead; and her parents, Steve and Mary Ann Shipstead.
