Billie Jean Holtan

January 15, 1944 — November 25, 2025

Glasgow

Billie Jean Holtan, 81, passed away on November 25, 2025 at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow, Montana.

Billie Jean was born January 15, 1944 to William and Eunice Crossen in Plentywood, Montana. She was the oldest of eight children.

Billie Jean married Roger ‘Skip’ Loucks in Plentywood. They had one daughter, Kelly. They later divorced. Billie Jean then married Harold Holtan in Glasgow. Harold’s children Greg and Michelle also joined the family. They all lived in Glasgow for many years. Later the couple moved to St. Marie after the children were grown.

Billie jeans was a homemaker and Harold’s helper with Holtan Electric. Once they retired, they became snowbirds and went to Yuma for the winters. She liked sweeping the sand outside instead of shoveling snow in Montana.

The last year and half, Billie Jean resided in Valley View Nursing Home. She liked living there except when it was too cold that she couldn’t smoke. She would call the staff ‘stinker poo’ when they joked with her. She was never seen without her Coke Zero and coffee.

Billie Jean is survived by daughters, Kelly (Norm) Sillerud of Fort Peck, Michelle (Creyton) Hughes of Ennis and son, Greg Holtan of Ennis; grandchildren: Josh (Jenni) Sillerud, Jason (Darci) Sillerud and Nate Sillerud all of Glasgow, Austin (Brooke) Hughes of Ennis and Lauren Holtan of Dillon; great-grandchildren: Sage, Karsyn, and CJ; siblings: Patsy, Steve, Jerry, Lorrie, Brad and Troy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold, parents William and Eunice and sister, Sue.

A Celebration of Her Life is being planned for Spring/Summer 2026. Online condolences may be left for the family at bellmortuarymt.com.
