Alexzander JL Strope

Alexzander James Leroy Strope passed away tragically on September 3, 2025, in Glasgow, Montana. Alex was born June 3, 2005, to Jamie Strope and Roy Stope joining his sibling, Danny. Alex had tons of nicknames that he would use and go by. He was born on the lunch hour in Forrest City, Arkansas. During the school year, he and his sibling would be here in Glasgow, with their parents. As summer approached, their aunt “Jen Jen” would come and pick them up and bring them back to their birthplace and go on plenty of adventures! The Strope family are based out of Glasgow and Forrest City but eventually found their way down to Louisiana and even Michigan. He attended Glasgow High School, but unfortunately did not graduate, but that most certainly did not stop him from doing what he needed to do! After he turned 18, he spent a few months in North Dakota working for the oil fields, like his father. James loved to go for drives and play music very loudly. But he also loved playing video games and yelling at the screen! He was always a happy boy, and as he grew up, he became an “obnoxious small town teenage boy.” He loved hunting, trains, diesel engines, being silly, and even hanging out with his sibling (as much as he would deny it.) Alex just started a new job working for a farmer that he was excited about. Alex spent most of his days riding dirt bikes with friends, tinkering on vehicle after vehicle, and having a good time with his friends and family. Alex was a bright young man with a full life ahead of him. Alex is survived by his parents, Jamie and Roy Strope, sibling Daniel Treat, Aunt Jennifer Treat, Britney Wiseman (known as his “second mom”, cousins Austin, Lathan, and Cheyenne Staggs of Arkansas, and countless other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Roy Strope SR, Darla Morlock, Michealene Treat, James Treat, and, of course, most recently his aunt Troy Alexzandria Strope.

A Celebration of his Life will take place at 5 pm, on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at VFW Post 3107 in Glasgow. Condolences may be left online at Bellmortuarymontana.com
